It’s been a while since I have blogged a project! I’m currently working on the master bathroom and I have just a few more finishing touches before I post that. In the meanwhile, here is a super simple DIY that only cost me $10.
Several months ago, one of my friends sent me a picture of a pampas grass wreath one of her friends made for her nursery.
Isn’t that beautiful? I immediately wanted to do that project and then I looked up the price for pampas grass and decided I didn’t want to make it that badly until…
Every Thursday I do what I call “Thrifting Thursday.” I know that’s a tough code to crack, so I go to three different thrift stores every Thursday to find the one last item I need to do a DIY project that has been in the works for years. It’s like a treasure hunt and I love it.
Today, I found this arrangement and got so excited. I immediately thought of that wreath.
I took it home and organized all the flowers.
And then I just added the flowers one layer at a time to a styrofoam block already included with the arrangement.
And I hated it. I thought having more of a variety would be great. I loved how it looked as an arrangement, but as a wreath… not so much.
So I just turned it over.
So much better. That’s pretty much it. I added flowers in the middle, filled the space with moss and hung it up.
Oh I just love it! Shes dramatic. Her name is Lola.
I almost didn’t make a post about this because there wasn’t a whole lot involved, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out.
Just hoping my cat doesn’t see it as one giant toy.
