Here is my weekend of Christmas:
Friday, Aaron took me to see the Nutcracker. He was a fun date because he doesn't understand dance, so he would make comments such as "so, is there singing in this shindig?" throughout the performance so I would get the giggles. It is nearly impossible to stop giggling when you are trying to be quiet. When we finally got out of the stockyard of people, I greeted our car that was blinking after Aaron clicked the button with "hey, blinkin.' " Aaron responded with "four score and seven years ago..."
Aaron really has the dad jokes down.
Saturday evening we got back from dealing with the masses of the Lubbock area and I started "camp cake." It is this virtual camp for baking hosted by Yolanda Gampp who does youtube videos.
I was supposed to have the camp last week, but my supplies didn't
come in on time. We had to pick a couple of things up in
Lubbock, including ingredients. Here is the short version of how

51 go to bed.
I did all the baking Saturday night and then Sunday afternoon, I assembled everything. This was also the day we did our Christmas cantata at church. This probably wasn't the wisest decision; however I wanted to have these for the fellowship after the program.
This was the result of the camp. The top right are "reindeer food," although I think they look like reindeer something else. The bottom are cookies with peppermint patties sandwiching a chocolate cake surrounded by icing and candy. I took these to the reception after the performance. The pastor's wife appropriately named them heart attack cookies. I had my sugar intake for the month while baking, so I settled with water.
That was the after.
Here is the during:
There is no evidence, but I was trying to keep cleaning while doing this. If any of you get the privilege of living with me, you also get the privilege of doors and drawers being open all the time. I might become a poltergeist when I die.
And to end this weekend with the bang, we are watching the Santa Clause. Hohoho everybody, time to crash.
